remote control programming
the supplied remote control can also be used to control another appliance equipped with
infrared remote control (for example the tv).
to make the remote control communicate with the tv, follow these steps:
1. place the two remote controls of the decoder and the television facing each other so that the two
beware of emitters unimpeded
2. press the set button for 3 seconds on the remote control until the red led lights up and
stays on.
3. press the button to be associated on the decoder remote control within 10 seconds.
4. press the button to be associated on the remote control of the tv within 3 seconds. if the signal
is received by the remote control, the red led will flash 3 times and finally will remain on.
5. press set to confirm.
6. repeat these steps for each button on the remote that you want to configure.
suggestions:
? at the end of the programming process, check if the key has been associated before
continue with the next
? to avoid confusion, associate the keys with the same function, for example in point 3
press the on / off button on the remote control of the receiver and at point 4 press the same button
on the tv remote control.
attention: it is possible to associate only the keys of the remote control supplied inside the white rectangle
(on / off, tv / av; vol and vol-). set is a non-associable function key.
installing the batteries
insert the two 1.5 v aaa batteries (lr03 aaa) supplied by doing
pay attention to polarity.
if the remote control does not work even if it is brought close to the receiver, do more
soon to replace the exhausted batteries.
connecting the receiver
before connecting the unit to your tv, make sure it is placed on one
flat and stable surface. refer to the diagram below and al
tv user manual for cable installation instructions.
connect the unit to turn on the tv and the unit before continuing with the
initial setup guide.
installation
at first use or at a later factory reset, the setup wizard menu will be displayed on the tv screen.
use the right / left, up / down arrow keys and the ok key to
confirm.
make your choice for the language, the
country, select search for channels and
confirm.
if when searching for channels not
if no channel is found, check that the antenna cable is connected and that the antenna is working.
at the end of the scanning process the receiver will automatically save the
channels found and displays the first channel in the list.
main menu
most of the functions are available in the main menu.
a password will be required to change some advanced options.
the default password is “000000”.
to access the main menu, press the menu key, then use i
right / left keys to scroll through the menus, up / down to scroll through the menu options, the ok key to confirm and the exit key to return to the menu
previous or exit the menu.
software update
if new software is available, it will be possible to update the receiver with the procedure described below:
1) download the software from the website www.gbconline.it and load it on a usb key
formatted fat32
2) insert the usb device, turn on the receiver, enter the system menu
and select the update software option
3) click on usb update, select the ***. bin file and confirm
4) a screen will appear indicating the progress of the procedure.
5) wait for the update to finish and the receiver to restart.
6) reset the factory settings via the system menu.
7) turn off the receiver and remove the current power supply for about 2min.
8) reconnect, search for channels and check the various functions.
caution: do not remove the usb device from the receiver and do not turn off the receiver during the update process. this action
it could damage the receiver.
