the video signal of wired cameras is generally carried with 50 ohm coaxial cables.
the most common type today is called rg58 and allows the transport of the video signal up to about 200 m. (for more details see tutorial).
for longer distances, the use of larger and more rigid coaxial cables such as eg. the rg11, once quite common, has now been technically surpassed by wiring on twisted cable.

the RG58 dse cable has an external diameter of 5.6 mm. and is composed of an internal core conducting the signal and a double external protective sheath in aluminum. externally it is covered with a very flexible black PVC sheath, for easy installation.
for the termination, male crimp bnc connectors are generally used (ref. dse re-bnccr1) which can be directly inserted into cameras, monitors, quads etc.
the rg-58 cable is supplied in 100 meter skeins, not divisible.
